Economic Botany: Ethnobotany Kasi, Nusrat jahan [1], Zaidi, Mudassir [2]. Evaluation of Antibacterial, Antifungal, Cytotoxicity, Antileishmanial and Insecticidal Activities of Nepeta praetervisa. The biological activities of medicinal Plant of Balochistan Nepeta Praetervisa (Laminaceae) was evaluated by using different bioassays. It is a folk herbal medicinal plant, used for many aliments in most of the rural areas of Balochistan. Antibacterial and antifungal activities were checked against 10 bacterial and fungal strains and the hexane fraction was found most active. The brine shrimp cytotoxicity assay proved it to be a non- toxic plant. No Insecticidal and antileishmanial activities were shown against any fraction. Log in to add this item to your schedule
