The study of essential components in the fruit carpel essence of Citrus limon by GC-Mass and the investigation of its antibacterial effects on E.coli and Staphylococcos aureus.

In this study we examined the essential oils of the fruit carple of Citrus limon and its precarpic, mesocarpic and endocarpic juices by GC-Mass.There is 12 compounds in Limon oil that the main compound is limonene (60.11%)and the least component is alpha- bergamotene. In fruit juice determined 15 compound that the main compound was beta terpinilil acetate, and the least compound was oxa-endodecane. In epidermal juices determined 13 compound that Limonen is the highest compound. The essential oils and phytochemical compounds showed antibacterial effects on the two bacteria,E.coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
